DICK DRESNER - Principal
DICK DRESNER - PrincipalRichard Dresner has spent the past thirty years working as a general consultant, media producer and pollster with key political leaders both in the United States and abroad.

His past clients have included Russian President Boris Yeltsin, the Conservative Party of Great Britain, New York Senator "Pat" Moynihan, then Governor of Arkansas Bill Clinton, California Governor Pete Wilson, and U.S. Senator James Jeffords of Vermont.

In 2005 and 2006 Mr. Dresner worked for Hungarian Prime Minister Ferenc Gyurcsány. Prime Minister Gyurcsány became the first Eastern European Prime Minister to be re-elected since the fall of communism. Mr. Dresner’s work in Hungary followed shortly on the heels of a 2005 campaign in Bulgaria, in which he worked for the incumbent party, National Movement Simeon II (NSM). While NSM was not able to return to power, they entered into a coalition government with the other leading parties. Also in 2005 he worked on medical liability reform initiatives for the Washington State Medical Association and Arizona Medical Association.
In 2002, his clients included newly elected Minnesota Senator Norm Coleman; newly elected Texas Lieutenant Governor David Dewhurst; Governors Mike Huckabee of Arkansas and Mike Johanns of Nebraska; and Nebraska Attorney General Jon Bruning. In addition, he worked on Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger’s first campaign for governor and his "After School Initiative" in California.
In 1996, Mr. Dresner traveled to Moscow and worked with a small team of American consultants, providing research and strategic advice to President Boris Yeltsin. He also worked for the Social Democratic party of Romania, which retained its position as the largest party in the Romanian Parliament (PDSR). In 2000, he again worked successfully with the PDSR and its leader Adrian Nastase, who became Romania's Prime Minister.
As a result of his work in Russia, in 1996 he was honored by the American Association of Political Consultants (AAPC), which named him "International Consultant of the Year."
In addition, Showtime has produced a movie regarding his group's activities in Russia starring Jeff Goldblum, Anthony LaPaglia and Liev Schreiber.
Mr. Dresner had previously been honored by the AAPC. In 1990, he won the "POLLIE" for Best Television Ad in a governor's race (Clayton Williams - Texas).
In 1996, Mr. Dresner was at the forefront of a new method of impacting the outcome of Congressional and Senatorial elections. Much as the Democratic Party was helped by a $35,000,000 educational effort undertaken by organized labor, Mr. Dresner led a multi-million dollar effort by business and conservative forces that was successful in 15 marginal House races and four U.S. Senate races. He selected the target races, created the message and strategy, and personally guided the creative team. Given the magnitude of this effort, it was clearly one of the key factors allowing the Republicans to keep their majority in Congress.
In addition to his campaign activities, Mr. Dresner has served as a guest lecturer for the United States Information Service. He participated in a series of lectures in Canada, and a conference in Japan on the 1996 elections in the U.S. He was also invited to tour China to deliver a series of lectures on American and Russian politics. Mr. Dresner has also undertaken political education projects for the International Republican Institute in Latvia, Estonia and Malawi.
In the past, Mr. Dresner served as Senior Vice-President of the Harris Poll, where he coordinated national election polling with ABC-TV. He also worked as a marketing executive with the Gannet Newspapers, directing political polling as well as market research for the corporation's newspapers.
Mr. Dresner is a graduate of New York University, and earned a Masters degree in political science from Columbia University. He has recently been added to the regular Ph.D faculty at NYU. In the past, he has taught at the City College of New York, Lehman College and the Graduate School of Political Management. Mr. Dresner has appeared on Nightline, and has written articles for the Los Angeles Times syndicate, New York Newsday and the Canadian Journal of Parliamentary Affairs.
Mr. Dresner lives and works in Westchester County near New York City. He and his wife Katherine have been married for 30 years. They have a son, Jeremy, who practices law in Washington, D.C., who with his wife Meredith recently welcomed Dick’s first grandchild, Eden.
BOB WICKERS - Principal
BOB WICKERS - PrincipalFor over 20 years, Bob Wickers has provided strategic communication and media services for political candidates and corporate clients throughout the United States and in Eastern and Central Europe. He co-founded his firm, Dresner, Wickers & Associates, in 1993.

Mr. Wickers currently serves as senior advisor and media consultant for Mike Huckabee for President, the governor's national leadership political action committee. He was the American advisor to Hungarian Prime Minister Ferenc Gyurcsány in the Premier's historic 2006 re-election campaign - the first time a Hungarian government was re-elected since the fall of Communism.

Mr. Wickers served as current U.S. Agriculture Secretary Mike Johanns' lead strategist in his come-from-behind primary and general election victories for governor of Nebraska, and served as media consultant and strategist for Norm Coleman in his successful 2002 race for United States Senate in Minnesota. His clients also include Texas Lieutenant Governor David Dewhurst, Nebraska Attorney General Jon Bruning, and the Building Industry Association of Washington.
Mr. Wickers was part of the American team that guided Russian President Boris Yeltsin's successful re-election campaign in 1996.
